Text Editor Plugins Belong in a Lock File (simplethread.com)

I was surprised to find out that VS code auto updates extensions by default. I suppose that beats never updating but I'd much prefer the tighter control as documented in the post.

As my list of open files and plug in dependencies grows I'm embarrassed I never thought of doing this, thanks for the tip.
