Ask HN: How would I get hired at Google? (Finishing CompSci degree)

Hey guys, I'm currently in my final year of bachelor's in computer science and informational systems at the University of Auckland, and I feel totally unprepared for the world. So I was wondering what would I have to do to go from a derpy CompSci student to a google employee? (What projects would you suggest doing? what books do you suggest reading?)
