Ask HN: Will Java/C# be able to compete with Rust for web assembly?

I'm a C# developer interested in WebAssembly. Right now, writing web assembly in C# might be a hard sell because the runtime is so large. Will people figure out clever ways to shrink those runtimes for the web so they're comparable to something Rust/C++/C would generate, or will Rust totally dominate?
