So interesting how, almost as a rule, the people on this list who've actually contributed something to this world want something immaterial. And then there's Amanda Congdon.
Don't forget that for most of the ones that wanted something immaterial they also have "already made it" and have a reasonable allocation of wealth and material things already.

Besides, it looks fantastic to look like you care about people, the world, etc. I'm not saying they're making it up, but this whole article reads like a PR campaign for "look how nice and selfless I am!"

All I want for xmas* is for others like me to get healthier. To that end, I am working on rewriting the index page to my website this very evening, in hopes it will make more sense to people and make the site more useful/helpful/effective and make it less likely my "kooky" ideas will be rejected out of hand by the folks who could most benefit from them.

* (and $150,000 -- but it's for a good cause, I swear!)

PS -- What is the correct spelling of "kooky"?
