Dear Uber
In my opinion you have become unfriendly towards riders.
You already have a reputation for being unfriendly towards drivers and some employees.
Your unfriendly practices impact your ability to attract NEW riders.
To make my point I offer you the ability to experience it.
Try this use-case:
Find your phone, try to use your phone to create a new Uber account.
I found the above use-case is not supported.
Once a phone number is tied to an account, you cannot use that number to create a new account.
If you try, the uber-server will direct you to a form which asks for details of an existing account.
A new user has no existing account.
Validation-logic in the form prevents a new user completing the form.
So a new user cannot create a new uber account.
Therefore uber has become unfriendly towards riders, new riders specifically.
The work around is easy; it you are a new user, signup with Lyft.
Lyft supports the use-case of creating a new account with a number used to create an old account.
