What's the best time to launch a consumer facing web app in the New Year 2011?

I've been working on a consumer facing web app that would have helped the holiday shoppers. Whatever I've tried it didn't make it for a pre-holiday launch. It would be useful post holiday season as well, so was thinking of launching it early next year, 2011. Wanted to get your expert opinion on what would be the best time early next year to launch? Wanted to make sure if TC, Mashable, HN picks up the story it should get maximum exposure. Any advice?
