Ask HN: How did you decide your path after graduation?

The thing is not many of us have the free time to choose. For example, I am an EEE senior student right now, and decided that I will master in CS. But honestly, could not decide which subject I should select and master and not much time(10 months). How did you choose yours? Did you have any roadmap that guided you?
