One hypothesis is that iPhones are "too premium".

My hypothesis is that you can't do anything you really want to do with them, like:

- run a VOIP app (tried endlessly; notifications don't work)

- run a background process (gets killed almost immediately)

- download a file

- run a proper browser

- block an ad (millions of ad blocker add-ons; none work)

- save to external storage

- find MAC addresses of other local devices

- opt out of 2FA more than two weeks after turning it on

- get low-latency audio out

- etc. (The list is endless)

The walled garden has become a prison.
