This feels like "guilt by association" Epstein courted rich powerful and smart people as attractors for his socialised moneymaking. Bill also attends Davos so by implication is everyone in Davos a sexual predator?

Seriously. His little black book is not evidence of malfeasance any more than six degrees of Kevin bacon.

I'm a long term Microsoft hater btw but Bill, unlike modern dotcom billionaires has made substantive contributions to world health which will outlive ms-dos.

>This feels like "guilt by association"

It is. That's why Trump retweeted a conspiracy theory suggesting the Clintons had Epstein killed[0], and why we're going to hear about the Clintons' association with Epstein all over the web until election day. This whole thing is a character assassination buffet.

I guess this is a good time to remind people about "Nick" (real name Carl Beech), a fantasist who caused a huge investigation by describing a high profile paedophile ring involving generals, MPs, etc. He claimed criminal injuries compensation. Police described his accusations as "credible and true" (a remarkable comment from people who are supposed to hold open the possibility that complainants may be lying). This led to public accusations of high profile people, a multi-million pound investigation, and huge amounts of publicity about this paedophile ring. Beech claimed several thousands of pounds in criminal injuries compensation.

Except it never happened. There was one paedophile involved, and it was Carl Beech himself.

This shows the kind of hysteria that attaches to stories about high profile paedophiles.

Epstein was a monster. But that doesn't mean anyone who associated with Epstein is a monster.

Also, fuck the Daily Mail.

"Epstein was a monster. But that doesn't mean anyone who associated with Epstein is a monster."

Except when it suits people's agenda. Like when it's Trump...

So did Stephen Hawking, Stephen Jay Gould, Steven Pinker, John Brockman, Daniel Dennett, Richard Dawkins, ...

It seems like Epstein had some kind of scheme that relied on associating with famous people. He was supposedly a fund manager, but he didn't do business with anyone in the Wall Street, his back office was tiny and he managed the fund alone.

Popular theory is that he was blackmailer. Bring in underage girls, film rich people sex with them, then make them invest into your fund and never ask money back or ask other favors (like more connections). This does not mean that everyone who spend time in his island was caught in a trap. It was probably small percentage of people he entertained.
