Missing Encarta? What do you think of Hyper-G? bring it back?

I too missed Encarta and it reminded me of this article from Byte Magazine in 1995:

A product featured called Hyper-G, a "hypermedia navigation system".

Have you heard of it?

It mentions "flying over" the information landscape and using VRML to describe 3d scenes.
