What's with the Walled Garden of DSP and RTB?

Been looking into RTB for quite some time and there are many DSP solutions out there. I don't want that, I want to bid on my own terms, in my own dev environment.

What's the solution here, is there something I am missing?

Can anyone point me in the right direction for an open sourced DSP solution?
