Ask HN: PhD student threatened by a “gun-holding” “republican” to be deported

I'm an international CS PhD student at one of the top 10 universities in the US. I was threatened yesterday by a CS staff member at school that they are "a gun-holding citizen" and "a republican" and they would "call deportation" on me. Should I be scared? This is my final semester. What action can I take to ensure that I'm not deported to my country without earning a PhD? Thanks in advance!
