How is software creating jobs rather eating them?

All current headlines about Software and AI are pretty doomsday scenarios on jobs. Besides sweatshops in the form of Amazon Mechanical Turk and other data labeling startups, is there a possibility to reverse all of that? I mean we did invent automobiles, they too are like some kind of robots but created so much wealth.
