Ask HN: A new platform for deploying smart contracts

Lets face it, every "decentralized" platform is de-facto centralized, atleast in the miners/nodes. The question is therefore, if we remove the cryptocurrency/speculation bullshit, does a smart contract deployment platform make sense to develop new sorts of applications like DAOs?
