New economic paradigm needed. Or we need to allocate wealth and capital to environmental systems so that they get the profit from the work that they provide so that they can provide for their existence. i.e. Instead of privatizing public resources to individuals we should create a corporate entity to represent the natural resource which should then accumulate profit from its use and that profit then should be used to guarantee its survival or in the case of something like oil its replacement.
If the plan above was to be implemented and the same tools used by corporations to increase profit and charge more for everything were used then it's a possibility that finite resources would quickly become luxury goods that generate tons of profit which is then used to increase their renewal, or for instance something like water to clear them better before releasing it back.... for that profit to be used to lobby governments to pass regulations to better protect water supplies from micro plastics, etc.
I’ll also say that that he should probably keep his mouth shut and his head down in this area. Ford famously owns a FLEET (~10) of private planes and jets, 18 cars, and several homes. He once said he loves flying so much that he often “takes a plane up the coast for a cheeseburger”. His carbon footprint has to be several orders magnitude beyond the average human. The hypocrisy here is, quite frankly, astounding.

I’d like to first say I think he is right.
