The article mentions that the achievement of Google is similar to the first flight of the Wright Brothers at Kitty Hawk. I would dispute this. There was a direct and practical implication of the Kitty Hawk flight which had a clear path forward.
Google and their "quantum" (more scare quotes needed) computer don't solve any problem, and in fact, have merely designed a solution to a problem, and not designed something which universally applies to many problems. It's a meaningless one to one relationship.
