Ask HN: Tools for managing media tags, metadata?

Having the case where I'm pretty sure 1000 of these tools exist but I can't figure out what the name of them would be.

So I want to be able to have an object which I can enrich with data. For example: Image Audio URL Tags

And manage it like something like Photoshop Lightroom. But then be able to export it to JSON. Or perhaps kick off a script that uploads the images to S3 after compressing them.

Are there any good tools in this space? Paid or Opensource?

What are they generally called as well?
