Posting multiple old articles from the same source, on the other hand, is not good.
> Hacker News is a critical resource for young male techies based in Silicon Valley (Disclosure: I am a young male techie based in Silicon Valley), this has the consequence of excluding female hackers.

This is a non sequitur. Anybody of any sex can enter the url into their address bar. Males liking a thing does not preclude females from also liking that same thing.

Perhaps the author is trying to build a premise for his analysis, but given the mostly pseudonymous nature of HN, it's a silly one.

Given the other glaring flaws in his analysis, that's the least of his problems.
Anyone can use this site. Anyone can comment. I don't see how this is excluding anyone. Of course you will find nasty comments if you actively collect them.

This narrative of online harassment against women is very one sided, in my opinion. Research from pew (https://www.pewresearch.org/internet/2017/07/11/online-haras...) actually shows us that men and women receive roughly the same amount, in total.

Is there a list of most voted HN comments that is continuously updated?
