Ask HN: Does Google Captcha penalize non-Chrome users?

I am currently on a 4G Vodafone network and am trying to pass a Google Capacha pon Android. I'm using Firefox for Android and Google captcha treats me the same as when I'm behind tor and the process repeats with every refresh.

Are other users experiencing the same? Is Google misusing its Chrome monopoly so fast?
