Ask HN: What are some ways you've had to make products more user hostile?

It feels like there's been a recent trend of well-run products being made intentionally worse (Google Search and Maps come to mind). I'm curious what are some ways HNers have been asked to impair products that are otherwise working fine. Throwaways fine :)
