As an older Millennial (or younger Gen X) raised by deeply religious parents I'd say good. While my family was relatively open minded and accepting of everyone, there were still plenty of awkward and shameful memories.
For all the positives like social cohesion and trust that religion may have brought the costs are too high. Critical thinking, healthy skepticism, and increasing quality of education will hopefully put an end to the magical thinking and nostalgia-based beliefs.
this article gives way too much credit to millennials an not enough to technology changes. For thousands of years culture stayed the same until tech forced people off farms. Cultural change does not happen without stimulus.
