ScienceAlert.com - a science website with their own agenda.

Fluoridation only helps certain communities, such as those who consume lots of refined sugar and don't brush their teeth regularly (even with non-fluoridated toothpaste), or have an unfavorable balance in their oral flora.

Sodium fluoride is a neurotoxin, endocrine and immune system disruptor. ~27 human studies, and >100 animal studies link water fluoridation practices to ~7 IQ points less (according to Harvard's public health website), and brain damage (such as ADHD).

7 IQ points can drastically change a person's life.

Its good for americans britons and australians. For everyone else its just bad. Regardles? Forced medication? No thanks
This is apparently still an area where more research is necessary, so I would hesitate to jump to conclusions. The hypothesis is that the greatest risks are during pregnancy, so reducing ingestion during pregnancy "wouldn't be unreasonable", but avoiding it indefinitely is probably too drastic.

I agree. I use fluoridated toothpaste from time to time. I also think the neurological damage is greatest in the younger populations.

I will add that sodium fluoride mainly accumulates in our bodies probably through fluoridated water: bathing in and breathing hot shower vapor,

> Sodium fluoride is a neurotoxin

Indeed. So now we need another science website with a different agenda to go and measure IQ points there.

True. 7 IQ points become insignificant as you go above 100, but they are pretty significant if you have borderline retardation.
Based on my understanding of IQ, 7 points is still VERY significant above 100, but perhaps not above 130.

From what I've learned from psychologists, an IQ of 100 makes one able to comfortably perform technical assembly line work, but from 105-110 you can handle being the manager.

Hit piece.

Why would dentists support flouride if it actually helps? It would only destroy their profits.

Why do dentist cheer for flouride so much but there are ZERO loud campaigns from dentists to stop eating sugar, the actual cause of teeth rot?

Incentives. If flouride actually worked dentists wouldn't be pushing for it.

What dentist wouldn't tell you to stop eating sweets? Have you ever been to a dentist?
I live in Portland but I'm from somewhere that fluoridated the water. Every time I go to the dentist here they immediately know I am not originally from the area because of the lack of cavities.
