Ask HN: Software Engineers of India, what are some cool places to work?

Where real computer sciencey/software engineering things are done and not run on the mill software engineering. It's been 3 years for me in the software industry. I've seen my fair share of bad code. I read engineering blogs and check open-source projects of major tech companies worldwide but I've not seen much the same in Indian tech culture. Maybe that's a culture problem. I can see some of the causes: 1. Most Indian tech talent get lured by western giants. 2. The pay is so less for more than 90% of engineers that there is very little motivation to keep things interesting and innovate continuously. 3. An average Indian SE and any common Indian man/women, in general, have so many basic life problems (due to less pay) that there's no time left for projects or research purposes.

Although, things have improved a bit in the past couple of years but the pace at which things are moving in tech space, we're nowhere near to catch things up.

PS: There are thoughts of an average Indian software engineer. It's doesn't represent the viewpoint of the masses.
