For archiving purposes, should you wait until January first?

I'm not sure if the current data export features are whole yet, given that GDPR and CCPA was set to be complete on the first week of January. I also know that Google asked for the deadline to be extended, but most companies probably have already done most of the work. Will a better exporting feature be available come first week of January?
