Ask HN: Where was your life a decade ago?

As we close out 2019 lots of people are looking back at what the 2010s meant to them.

I graduated high school in spring 2009. Fall 2009 was my first semester of college and was the first time I ever wrote a line of code. Today, I’m a lead software engineer at a company that I had never even heard of in 2009. This company is the same one I interned with in the summer of 2012 and where I joined full-time after graduating college in 2013.
