It wasn't a generator but a few of the images were pretty funny.
To echo the common criticism of Gladwell, this doesn't seem to have any substance to it.
This is going to lead to a Twitter revolution! Oh wait... never mind.
hahaha this is hilarious. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed reading Malcolm Gladwell's books. He is a great story teller, got me to continue reading through a book, which is rare....
The Server Tipping Point

*Not actually a generator or randomized collection, but a list of prepared images cycled in order until the site fails under load from Hacker New and other visitors

isn't malcolm gladwell the guy that sings "what what in the butt?"
No, that was Malcolm McDonald. Malcolm Gladwell was on the Cosby Show.

The tipping point is one of the best books I have ever read.
He writes in a very enjoyable manner, but his logic just doesn't stand up to any sort of scrutiny. It's a series of fascinating tales tied together loosely with some implied cosmic truth.
Agreed. But we can't deny that if forces us to look at the the world from a different lens, thereby pushing our imagination and creativity to solve problems. At least, that is what I got from it.
I once read this incredible book about a white whale. The logic totally didn't stand up to scrutiny...
The Gladwell-bashing bandwagon is getting a little top-heavy. I think society ought to remind itself once in a while that not all talents and gifts are innate but are mostly products of immense focus, dedication, and even luck. Gladwell has stated that the purpose of his work isn't to get people to agree, but to get people to think. To that end, bravo, Gladwell. This HN'er appreciates your work.
