Ah, but which one would you rather use as your desktop, given the choice?

You pay for features with RAM use, hard drive space or processor cycles, and frequently with all three. It's just a question of how much those features are worth.

You could make almost any OS look like the obvious choice if you get to choose what shows up in the table of features.
