Ask HN: How do you create custom reports in 2020?

Our technical product team needs to create reports to a few of our big customers. The last thing we want is to invent the wheel and brew our own report system. What do you use for your own reports? Preferably:

- On premises or supports private cloud (sensitive data)

- Consume and crunch data with queries and a few code snippets (JS).
