Instagram's image recognition in alt-text

If you open Instagram on a web browser and take a look at the alt-text of the image elements you will see that they have image recognition with pretty good accuracy and detail describing the photo.

I am not sure if it has been posted about before but I stumbled upon it during image load times and was amazed.
