Ask HN: Is there an easier way to manage your calendar than via email invites?

Using email to send / accept / update meeting invites has a terrible user experience. Obviously email is a great way be able to communicate with anyone but getting a tonne of email updates for small changes just sucks.

Are there any companies working on alternatives to this? I would expect slack to tackle this space
