Ask HN: What to do if my domain name is flagged as Adult by a Net Nanny service?
I have owned a domain called managedvideocloud.com for several years. I don't have sever or a business behind it ; but I do use it to occasionally build and test my personal web application code that has been under development by only me; it has nothing to do with my employer . I am very frugal so I only start the EC2 server when I am coding at home and point the domain name on AWS Route 53 to that server and then do my testing. I shut down the EC2 when I am done. I use a Comodo SSL certificate. There is literally no one else who accesses my web application. I occasionally check my application from work. Lately it has been blocked as the net nanny/web blocker service used by my employer thinks this is an adult site. There is nothing but my ugly HTML and javascript on the pages . I do not know which service my employer uses but I am assuming this site is now also blocked for all my prospective customers, were this application to ever become a reality.
Who do I contact to get off this list ? Do the web site blockers have a process to get off their list ?
