Ask HN: Why did you get into tech?

Ideally, software helps people save time by eliminating a lot of human labor. That's pretty amazing if you consider how much time has been saved cumulatively for all humankind by all software. That time saving is probably a common theme to all technology. Time probably is the most valuable resource humans have. From that point of view, it's a very idealistic mission. At the same time, it might be easy to forget things like that in the day to day.
