Ask HN: (Non-execs) What do you use a remote/local personal assistant for?

I have some research tasks that come up (travel, books to read etc) every now and then that I'd like someone else to do for me, so I can spend my non-working hours relaxing. But that's sporadic and sparse.

What else do you use a personal assistant for? I don't have a business so no major email/scheduling/data entry requirements. Maybe making/changing appointments with doctors? Sending gifts to family?
