Ask HN: Computer Vision Startups?

Hey all, I'm about to start a job hunt after a few years as a postdoc doing biomedical computer vision. Academic/government research has been great and I've learned a lot but I'm getting frustrated with the slow pace and the disconnect between research incentives and solving tangible problems.

As part of my job search, I'd love to learn more about the landscape of startups applying or improving new computer vision tools to solving interesting problems. If I can get any direction here - either info on particular companies or general advice for how to find this stuff out on my own - it'd be really appreciated. Thanks!
