Ask HN: Is Powershell Any Good on Linux?

I just found Powershell in my distro's package manager. I was turned off to it for awhile (some of the Weird-Syntax made me uneasy)--but from what I've been told it's both better than batch (low bar), but also just pretty good as a scripting language. Thoughts?
