No. Proper or more sophisticated quoting syntax would encourage an author to offload some or most of the interpretation of the quoted sample to the reader.
In the interest of the reader(s), the author should extract the meaningful from the quote and present it in a simple, readable form thus demonstrating that time & effort have been spent on (a) understanding and (b) asking the right question/presenting distilled information.
