Ask HN: Place to talk about hardware, specifically tablet, development?

I'm working on developing a new product that has a hardware component. Specifically a writing tablet that has both programmatic read/write capabilities from a host computer.

I'm well-versed in software dev but pretty new to the hardware side, to the point where I'm largely just looking to enumerate what options are out there for screen types that can support these requirements.

Does anyone know a hardware-focused community I can/search/browse ask these sorts of questions? Or any good resources in general? Thanks
