Ask HN: What hardware does your company give you for Software Development?

Hi HN. One basis for comparison between companies doing software development I don't see very often is the kind of hardware you have available.

Does everyone at your company get the same laptop model? Do you have your choice? What kind of budget do you get? Can you ask for basically anything and you'll get it? Do you get a laptop, or a desktop, or both? Does anyone run particularly unusual setups?
