Year old diesel Skoda – sell or scrap

I have a 10 year old Skoda Octavia with 200k miles. It has one of those Volkswagen diesel engines that are part of the Dieselgate scandal. I recently bought a new car, and am trying to make the best decision in terms of environmental impact regarding the Skoda. I could sell/donate or scrap it. Which is environmentaly more reasonable?
