Accepting payments on a desktop application

Hi guys,

I've built a desktop application in C++ and want to be able to accept credit card payments. Any pointers to any resources on how I could go about implementing this part?

This is awesome.. I cant give you pointers because I am not a programmer.. However, I can suggest that if you enable the processor to place a snippet of code on the site using the desktop software, it will become even more useful.
