It all started with a simple issue, and escalated soon.

CoCs cannot withstand even a casual integrity-check, yet they are used widely, possibly because github enables them with one click.

And I'm wondering:

Are there any high-profile products/projects out there, which have an CODE_OF_CONDUCT like this:

Be Intelligent. Be Human. Be You.

?

I agree with you on your gripes with COCs, WOKE, etc...

They are political constructs to lock people out instead of integrating people. Individuals that force these COCs on groups of people want a political instrument to gain power over others.

COCs are also used often to try and contain perceived powergrabs.

In your case, with your gripes over multi platform, you have the right to complain about that, I or others have the right to either ignore you or debate you over it, waving a COC is overkill and shows indeed fear of you trying to convince members of that community of your point.

Things like language, unless direct threats of violence, should not be an argument to exclude people from debate.

This is my opinion, b.t.w. I have none whatsoever connection with the community where this issue is happening.

It is however a reason why I hardly join discussions of any kind on most platforms on the internet.

For you the question is: "Do I really want to be around these people?"

"fear of you" - in direct violation of their CoC, btw.

This discrimination goes sometimes so far that core-developers block e.g. refactoring-steps, or bug-spotting-procedures of mine, simply because I talk "mechanically".

No really, but the thing is that it makes it nearly impossible for me to land freelance tasks.

Though I have defined "The Pink-Unicorn Code of Conduct", nobody seems to let go of "classic CoC":

Btw: I understand that you avoid to join discussions. You cannot discuss freely e.g. on github, reddit, ... - once it becomes interesting, the block is near.

Being dependent on that for jobs is a lousy thing of course. I am just a hobby developer and don't need to discuss things like that, I just have to look out for bugs and solve them myself if needed, as I do not redistribute I care less about giving back solved code. Success with your job(s) further.
"Do I really want to be around these people?"

truth is: subconcious ensures those do never hire me.

BTW., this medium seems to have negative voting, tooo. And feels a bit like a demo-toy. Will not stay as it looks...

Someone being rude about being told they are wrong, being told to stop being rude and then launching into a big tirade about fascism is pretty good advertisement for why CoCs are worth some consideration.
You managed to spin your misunderstanding of "multi-platform" (which means – well – "multiple platforms", not "all platforms") into a big nuke-everything CoC discussion?

You should do some introspection. That is not normal.
