Ask HN: Any Opinions on Material Design for iOS?

Hey all,

I'm a professional web applications developer who develops a lot of internal administrative apps and some client-facing applications for my work. For almost all of our applications, we utilize Bootstrap 4 for our html scaffolding and styles: headers, navbars, tables, forms, etc. Since we're developers (and not designers/ux people), this gets the job done and makes the layout look halfway decent.

In the next few months/years, we're going to start develop iOS applications at our company. I'm looking for something like Bootstrap for iOS app development - scaffolding/widgets out of the box that will help us get up and running as fast as possible.

In that vein, I'm considering Material Design for iOS. Like Bootstrap, it's backed by a big company - which, I hope (and you can correct me if I'm wrong), means that it has a lot of development and support by other developers and designers.

So, do any of you all have any experience with Material Design for iOS? If so, what's it been like?
