Ask HN: API to download health insurance EOBs

Certainly an insured can login to Anthem and get a PDF. However what I'm looking for is away to get all the fields inside the EOB PDF as json/xml or other means ... Something suitable for automation.

It seems probable service providers can submit claims electronically. How about on the insured/patient side?

I'm interested in same for Medicaid/Medicare.
