Ask HN: How to invite other hackers to participate for an open source project

Hi All, This is about a project that i have been involed with since almost a year now , but i never discussed this with any one in the past. The project is Facebook Alternate or you can call it Yet Another Social Network :(. I studied Facebook, Myspace, and few others pretty closely before attempting this. I dont know why but the project always appealed to me, i created the first prototype in march 2010, ran it for 2-3 months and destroyed it, That was my test 1. Conclusion , no one needs glittery Social net.

My second attempt i launched in May 2010, more sophisticated , focussed only on teens, try to include so much into it that my users actually started puking , as we all know over dose is not good at all. so again i destroyed it. Conclusion : People want every thing but that doesn't mean we should lose our focus. Stay Focussed. Then i never launched back until now ...

Now the final attempt with this social thing is on its way , next 30 days and it would be out. The teaser page is already up and in last 4 days secured some 200+ emails and the facebook events page has got more than 200+ attendees and literally without any marketing. This time i have tried to give a lot in terms of very simplified UX and easy user experience. Now the product is set for its launch for March 31st , and i am coming out with very basic first cut and i don't have any of the Apple or Android Apps, i a not good at those and never tried them in the past. The MVC i used to do things this time is Code igniter and that gave my code awesome flexibility. tried to make the entire product free for life for all the users and the free thing means Ad free too. Yeah that true i really dont want to run any ad on it . i have separate ways to take care of the economics. Now the point is i have reached pretty far with this product with all my bank balance burnt and i am also finding some limitations for deploying future updates, I have the architecture ready and also the blue print what i need to do the next but as single man i know it would be really a long process for me to do all those things and thus i decided to make it open source where some of the fellow coders can help me grow this product. I dont have any money honestly to spent any more. I am sloshed i have to repay a loan of some $10K in next 10 months , my monthly salary is $1K and blah blah blah. My sad story ends here but yes i am excited about the thing that i am doing. Its not decentralized not by any chance. as decentralization would kill social web. I need help from you all , how shall i proceed with this project of mine. i am almost done . its another 150 hours of work left and then the testing thing. need help Guys...
