Biotech Side Projects

During this quarantine period I'm looking for a biotech / bioinformatics side project to work on -- does anybody have any suggestions?

I'm a software engineer, but if you have non software related ideas then please share those too for anyone else that is interested.

Another way of framing this question: what projects are worth working on right now?
