Facebook To Share Users' Home Addresses, Phone Numbers With External Sites (huffingtonpost.com)

I'm curious who puts their phone number and home address into their Facebook profiles. This information is not needed to use Facebook in the same way as it would be for my bank to maintain my checking account there.

What is the benefit of giving Facebook that information? I can only see ignorance as the only reason someone would do such a thing.
