Ask HN: How can I make Miro like whiteboard?

I want to build a canvas of sort like Miro[1] in which we can drag and drop blocks, each block can be connected like a flow chart. I want to build this using javascript. I am ready to use any pre-existing libraries. I think I can do this using D3 but not sure about where to start.
