Ask HN: Is there any writing about the Google PM org history?

I realize this is a trope at this point, but given the churn in Google public services/products I was wondering if there were any public books or articles written about product lifecycles and the decisions to shut things down or re-work them at Google?

Mainly curious what is going on organizationally and historically there.
