Ask HN: Are there other internet forums that have the discussion quality of HN?

Like many here, I enjoy reading the discussions on HN. Especially the non-tech ones.

That is why I was wondering: Do you know of other internet forums that have a similar discussion quality but are focused on other topics like politics, economics or (insert topic)?
