Ask HN: Why do you stay in the tech industry?

I saw another thread (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=22876241) that asked people why they left, after reading it I was feeling depressed, and starting to question if I should start changing careers now while I am still youngish.

But then I realized the only responses you would get to a question like that is people that don't/didn't like what they were doing.

So to try and prevent me from being angry bitter and cynical I was wondering:

What's your story? Why are you still doing tech now? Any moments that were worth the world? And how come you follow HN?
